Throughout recent years, there have been a few people that have contributed to either the benefit or the downfall of our land.  This list comprises those people who have had a direct impact on the shaping of Ivalice today.


Gafgarion, Gaff

53. A mercenary hired by the Hokuten Knights to escort Princess Ovelia to Igros Castle. He was a leader of the Touten Knights during the Fifty Year War, but due to his brutal fighting style, he was forced out of the Knights after the War.
 
--Died in battle with Ramza Beoulve at Lionel Castle.

 

Galthana, Malak

18.  Member of the elite assassination group, Kamyuja, which was assembled by Prince Barinten.  Became orphaned by the Fifty Year War.  Malak was saved and raised as a magician by Barinten. He thinks of the Prince as his real father.  Therefore, he is forced to fight against his real sister, Rafa, who is an enemy to the Prince.
 
--He shielded his sister,, Rafa, on the roof of the Riovanes Castle and died from a gun shot from Prince Barinten. Used the Holy powers of the Stone and comes back to life.

 

Galthana, Rafa

16.  Member of the elite assassination group, Kamyuja, which was assembled by Prince Barinten.  She and her brother became orphaned by the Fifty Year War.  Rafa was saved and raised as a magician by Barinten, but finds out that the Prince was behind the burning of her village.  Rafa escapes from the Riovanes Castle and is targeted by the Prince as an enemy.  She is the sister of Malak.

 

Goltana, Druksmald

56. Lord of Zeltennia.  As with the Larg family, the Goltana family has been a part of the Denamunda Kingdom since the Fifty Year War.  Also known as the Duke of the Black Lions; one half of the double headed crest of the Kingdom.  The White Lion, representing the Larg family.  Druksmald was one of the prominent leaders during the Fifty Year War.   He commands the Nanten Knights, rivals of the Hokuten Knights.
 
--During an attack on Bethla Garrison, Goltana was assassinated by the Black Knight, Delita, as part of a conspiracy with the Church.

 

Glabados, Ajora

Born around twelve centuries ago in Bervenia of Lesalia.  Raised in Milodos.  Spoke of the arrival of a kingdom of a higher source, as feelings of anitpathy grew from Father Fara.  Executed as a traitor by the Holy Empire of Yudora.  Soon after, the capital of the Church of Fara became submerged under the sea by an extraordinary natural phenomenon.  Those disciples of Ajora believed this was his miracle.  As these stories spread, the Glabados Church became what it is today.

 

Hyral, Delita

16. Knight apprentice of Gariland Academy and friend of Ramza Beoulve.  He came to the Beoulve family with his sister, Teta, after their parents were taken by the Black Plague.  He was able to join the Academy through the wishes of the late Balbanes Beoulve.
 
--Delita meets Algus and Miluda. Algus' condescending attitude towards commoners and Miluda's hatred for the nobles reaffirms the societal differences that Delita had been shielded from. Delita now has questions about life.
 
--Believed killed by an explosion at the Zeakden tragedy while fighting the Death Corps.  He has now reappeared with the Nanten Knights as one of the kidnappers of Princess Ovelia at the Orbonne Monastery.   It is unknown why Delita is affliated with the Nanten Knights.
 
--Thought to be affiliated with Nanten Knights, but it seemed to be untrue.  Appears  to be helping those conspiring against Prince Larg and Prince Goltana...
 
--Delita is now second in command of the Black Knights, under Baron Grims. To clear the name of Prince Goltana for the kidnapping of Ovelia, he goes on a search for the Princess.  He successfully rescues the Princess and takes her back to Zeltennia. Delita is awarded leadership of the Black Knights for his gallantry.  However, it appears  that his promotion was actually due to a conspiracy by an unknown figure.
 
--Prince Goltana has been assassinated.  With his death, Delita takes Goltana's place as the leader of the Nanten Knights.  This new position  bestows Delita the status of Holy Knight.  But this is not the whole truth. During the commotion at Bethla Garrison, Delita released the imprisoned Count Orlandu and murdered Prince Goltana.  He framed Orlandu for the murder. 
 
--He continues to use people for his own ambitions and well being.

Hyral, Teta

Delita's sister.  Daughter of a farmer in the Beoulve Kingdom.  Losing her parents to the Black Plague, she and her brother was taken in by the Beoulve family.  She is secretly worried about her brother, who is forced by the Beoulve family to attend the Academy. She is close with Alma Beoulve, Ramza's sister.
 
--She is abducted by the Death Corps during an assassination attempt on Dycedarg.  They believe that she is of noble blood.
 
--Teta is killed by Algus, under orders from Zalbag Beoulve, at Fort Zeakden.

 

Kadmus, Beowulf

35.  Former leader of the Lionel Holy Knights.  Branded a Heretic by Priest Buremonda, who was envious of the love between Beowulf and his fiance, Reis.  He searches for Reis, who was turned into a dragon by the spell of the Priest.  Reunited at Goland, Reis was brought back to human form using the powers of the Holy Stone.

 

Lanando, Balmafula

19.  Young Magician who is sent by the Church to assist Delita, who has lurked into the Goltana army.  But, unlike Delita, her loyalty and belief in the Church is rather low.   She is acting as though she has allegiance for the Church.  Delita's trust in her is strong since  they spend a lot of time with each other.
 
--Balmafula was to be the executioner of Delita if he was to double cross the Church.  However, she realized that she was falling for Delita even though he states publicly that he is going to double cross the Church.  Watching his movements and listening to his thoughts, she is unable to draw her sword.  She is killed by Delita for being a threat.

 

Larg, Bestrada

37. Lord of Gallione and brother of Queen Ruvelia of the Omdolia Kingdom. The Larg family is a part of the Atkascha Kingdom, who gained power from the Fifty Year War.  He was one of the leaders during the Fifty Year War. The most feared Hokuten Knights are under the Prince's control.
 
--He is assassinated by Dycedarg Beoulve during an attack on Bethla Garrison.

21?  A beautiful girl that appeared with Marquis Elmdor. Her true identity is unknown, yet has amazing assassination skills.
 
--An Ultima Demon summoned by Marquis Elmdor.

 

Levine, Golgaros

28. Knight in the Death Corps.  He led the attack on the Beoulve residence in Igros Castle while trying to assassinate Duke Dycedarg, a prominent official under Prince Larg.  The assassination attempt failed, but during his escape, he confronts and abducts Delita's sister, Teta.  It is unknown why she was taken as a hostage. The Hokuten Knights are currently after him, but her whereabouts are unknown.
 
--Wiegraf ordered Teta's release, but Golgaros refused to let her go and escaped with Teta to Fort Zeakden.
 
--Brought Teta to Fort Zeakden as a hostage.  He is trapped by the Hokuten Knights and in his desperation, uses Teta as a shield.  Teta is killed by Algus and Golgaros is mortally wounded.  He eventually crawls into the explosive powder room and destorys the fort in a huge explosion.

 

Margueriff, Gustav

35. Sub leader of the Death Corps under Wiegraf.  Former sub leader of the Knights of Death. Before joining the Knights of Death, he was one of the Hokuten Knights.  However, due to several cruel acts of robberies and rapes at seized towns, problems within the Knights arose. He was forced out and eventually joined the Knights of Death.  Wiegraf sees him as a rival.
 
--He plans the abduction of Marquis Elmdor for ransom, but is killed by Wiegraf when he does not follow orders.

 

Oaks, Agrias

21. A member of the local Knights of the Atkascha Royal family.  After the death of Omdoria, tension between Prince Larg and Prince Goltana grew.   Agrias was assigned to the monastary by the church elders for the safety of the Queen.  Agrias has a strong sense of loyalty towards the Royal family and a strong sense of justice.  She feels sympathy for Ovelia, who has to live alone in a remote region.

Orlandu, Cidolfas

57. Also known as T.G. Cid.  Undefeated leader of the Nanten Knights during the Fifty Year War, only equalled by Balbanes and Zalbag.  He has known Prince Goltana for nearly twenty years.  The only reason the Prince is able to engage in battle is due to the trust and ability of the Orlandu family.  He is critical of the Prince for fighting to become a successor to the throne.
 
--He was being held at the Bethla Garrison for planning a rebellion against Prince Goltana, but escaped with the help of his son, Olan and Ramza Beoulve.

 

Pen Rakshu, Simon

77.  Head of the Orbonne Monastery and Professor of Theology.  Simon is a devout believer in the teachings of Glabados.  Once a high level Pagan Examiner, he resigned due to an incident with the Church.  He escaped the secular world and currently lives as a hermit in a distant land.  While teaching Ovelia, he gives her the love and encouragement that she never received from her own father.
 
--Killed by the Temple Knights who came for the holy stone, Virgo, at the Orbonne Monastery.

Rudvich, Bart

56. A representative of the Bart Trading Company and involved in a variety of businesses based in Warjilis Trade City.  He is well respected and praised as a man of great ability by the people.  In the shadows, however, he is said to be the leader of a criminal organization, which is involved in heinous acts such as slave trading and opium smuggling.  For reasons unknown, he is currently holding machinist, Besrodio, prisoner and is after his son, Mustadio.

--He, in league with the Glabados Church, was after Mustadio, who found the Holy Stone, Taurus in the mines of Goug.
 
--Failing to obtain Taurus, he was executed by the Cardinal.

 

Rusnada, Zalmo

54.  Pagan Examiner of the Glabados Church.  The Pagan Examiner is in charge of the Heretic Hunt and is considered the elite of the elites in the Church.  He holds enormous power outside of the Church as well.  Even Knights are unable to stand against him.
 
--He is defeated in a battle with Ramza Beoulve in the city of Zeltennia.

 

Sadalfas, Algus

16. Son of Ruofons of Limberry.  Apprentice of the local Knights under Elmdor, the leader of Limberry.  The Sadalfas aristocracy lost power with the Fifty Year War.  This causes Algus great pain, which pushes him to try to regain his family's status by becoming a Knight.  He is looked upon as a selfish person, always looking out for himself.
 
--Algus is envious of Ramza Beoulve, who does not care about his status and is not trying to increase his position.
 
--He is killed at Fort Zeakden by Delita Hyral and Ramza Beoulve, during the battle to annihilate the Death Corps.

 

Strife, Cloud

21. A young man summoned from a different dimension by a machine called, the “Transmission Machine.”  This old generation machine was found by Machinist Besrodio, in the underground mine number 83 in the city of Goug.  He may be affected by the transmission, but he mumbles, “My head...” or “…phiros…”  Will he ever be able to go back to his own world?

 

Tingle, Izlude

17. Temple Knight of the Murond Glabados Church.  He is the son of the Temple Knight, Vormav.  A member of the new Zodiac Braves, he had the Holy Stone, Pisces.  He unquestioningly believes in his father's words, but does not know the secret powers within the Holy Stone to summon Lucavi.
 
--Izlude was slain when he tried to restrain Vormav, who was fused with Lucavi.

 

Tingle, Meliadoul

Daughter of Temple Knight, Vormav.  With Marquis Elmdor transforming into the unholy fiend, Zalera, she believes that her father, Vormav, may be involved.

 

Tingle, Vormav

47. Knight, identity unknown.  Participates with Delita in the abduction of Ovelia.
 
--Head of the Temple Knights of the Murond Glabados Church.  Leader of the new Zodiac Braves, which High Priest Funeral tried to recreate, but Vormav seems to have his own intentions.  Vormav has given himself over to Lucavi.

 

Wodring, Rofel

37. Temple Knight of the Murond Glabados Church.  Under the orders of Vormav, he goes to Igros Castle to form an alliance with Duke Dycedarg, one of the few men that knows about Vormav's plans.
